In order to implement RCEP-related instructions from the municipal government, a working group for the Service Platform for Comprehensive Utilization of FTAs was instantly set up, to be followed by the opening of an FTA counter and hotline.An FTA service column has become available on our website since June 15. The first phase of the column includes 3 parts: FTA news, tariff directory and FTA texts, offering enterprises and organizations with authoritative information. The Platform has been selected by Shanghai Municipal Government as one of the thirteen best practices of innovative pilot programs to deepen reform on trade in service.

We provided consulting on customs clearance for the 4th CIIE exhibits
covered by ATA carnets, completed digital registration of the exhibits, and sent 41 batches of relevant data to the customs authority. This work involved 124 exhibiting items from 9 countries worth over 67 million yuan and weighing about 165 tons. The exhibits included jewelry, new-concept vehicles, high-tech medical equipment, construction machinery, robots and art pieces. Of all the ATA carnets, more than one third are for items from Japan.Other items are mainly from Republic of Korea,the US, Germany, Hong Kong, Poland,France, Switzerland and Spain.

We pay close attention to solving problems for enterprises. By issuing COVID-19 Pandemic Factual Documents, an equivalent to notice of force majeure, we provide free and prompt service for enterprises during the epidemic. CPC member employees working at the counters provide one-on-one service to applicants with disabilities. Besides, we developed an information registration system and a consular legalization inquiry system, bringing convenience to enterprises with upgraded information technology.
